Maybe you have previously hosted students or perhaps this will be your first time. We at English Trip Ltd have successfully brought Spanish exchange students to Ireland for several years.

We have continued to grow with each year, and we believe the secret of our success has been the recruitment and retaining of our fantastic host families. As the number of Spanish families choosing to trust us with their children grows, so does our need to continue to recruit welcoming ,warm and friendly families.

Here at English Trips Ltd, we have strict criteria that need to be met before we can approve your family to host with us.

Do you feel you could offer the following?

• The student needs to have their own bedroom?
• Given the age of our students (11-17yrs), a stay-at-home parent needs to be present for the duration of the 2/3-week placements.
• Where children and teens are being hosted, the host families need to have a teenager, similar in age to our students, living at home for the duration of the student’s stay. (This does not apply for adult students)
• New Host Families need to agree to Garda Vetted, in line with the Children and Vulnerable Persons Acts 2012 to 2016.
• Before our students are placed an informal home visit will take place, so that you, the Host Family, can ask us directly any questions and concerns you may have.

• You will be dealing with a professional, friendly and caring company who puts the student and host family at the heart of our exchange.
• You will be generously paid for the 2/3 week placement.
• We are unique, as we are the only company that will not only pay for our student to attend a summer camp in your area, but we will also pay for your child to attend as well (terms & conditions apply)
• You will become part of our hosting network and get access to our exchange students throughout June, July, and August.
• We have both Spanish leader and Irish leader here for the duration of the students visit, so you and the student have support 24/7.
• There are local pick-up points for the student's arrival and departure.
